Mulled Cider

Mulled Cider, taken from The Herbal Kitchen:
  • 4 quarts of apple cider
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 astragalus sticks
  • 2 T. allspice berries
  • 1 t. powdered clove
  • 1 t. powdered nutmeg
  • peel from one orange
Warm cider in large pot over low heat, place herbs into muslin and infuse for one hour.
